Do you ever wish people would care about a topic as much as you? Ever think that if others just *got it* that progress could finally be made?
Same. Brain twins!
I feel that way about a lot of science topics. But it wasn’t until my mid-20’s that I realized how impactful effective science communication could be.
It can be the difference between someone caring about a topic or not. Or a community or country caring or not.
Most people don’t remember specific facts and figures.
But they’ll remember how that information (and the way it was delivered) made them feel. And, even if we wish they didn’t, we know that feelings often dictate opinions and actions.
Effective science communication meets the audience where they’re at. It finds common ground and builds understanding in all parties.
Unfortunately, most science isn’t communicated successfully.
I want to change that. This blog is dedicated to techniques for bridging the communication gap between students, professionals, enthusiasts, or anyone involved in science, and the general public.
Cheers to our future successful science communication!
May we all learn from each other 🥂
Love,
Anna
